Bereavement Leave
You’re allowed to take up to 3 days of bereavement leave following the death of an immediate family member . This benefit is paid time if you’re an eligible, full-time associate.
Note: If you’re not eligible for bereavement leave, you need additional time off or your relationship to the deceased is not listed below, you can submit a request under Personal Time.
Immediate family members
Your immediate family members include
- spouse
- child or stepchild , including stillbirths (when a pregnancy is lost at 20 weeks or later)
- parent or stepparent
- sibling
- grandchild
- grandparent
- great-grandparent
- mother-in-law or stepmother-in-law
- father-in-law or stepfather-in-law or
- any individual living with the associate.
When you’re eligible for paid leave
You must complete 90 days of continuous full-time service.
Payment for bereavement leave
Bereavement pay is issued in your regular pay. You’ll see it reflected in your pay statement for the pay period in which you used a day or days for bereavement leave.
